The House Project: hedda gabler the remix situates itself in the interstitial zones between performance, ritual, and everyday life. Remixing Ibsen's taut proto-feminist text with live art, installation, video, a discussion group and a long-form party - the work sought to immerse and activate audiences within a 360 degree world of performative possibilities. Part 'play', part social gathering, part feminist history lesson, The House Project is a meditation on Hedda's chameleon nature. The performance begins with a cocktail party, traverses seven room-based installations, & ends with a party game that invites audiences to confess their Hedda-like transgressions.
