The House Project: hedda gabler the remix situates itself in the interstitial zones between performance, ritual, and everyday life. Remixing Ibsen's taut proto-feminist text with live art, installation, video, a discussion group and a long-form party in order to immerse and activate audiences within a 360 degree world of performative possibilities. Part 'play', part social gathering, part feminist history lesson, the event is a durational meditation on Hedda's chameleon-like nature. The performance begins with a cocktail party, travels through seven room-based performance installations, and ends with 'How Hedda are You?' a reality-tv inspired game where audiences are invited to confess their Hedda-like transgressions.
